Shipping detailsA hand-painted Manjushri Thangka, created with mineral pigments and fine gold detailing in the traditional Himalayan Buddhist painting style.
At the center of the composition is Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, seated upon a vibrant lotus throne and surrounded by an elaborate sacred landscape. Rich turquoise, gold, crimson, blue, and deep green tones create a vivid and highly layered composition, while intricate gold linework brings exceptional detail to the robes, ornaments, lotus petals, clouds, and surrounding figures.
Manjushri is traditionally recognized by the sword of wisdom, symbolizing the cutting through of ignorance and confusion, together with imagery associated with transcendent knowledge and awakened understanding.
The painting is especially striking for its dense iconographic detail and expansive composition. Hand-painted in Nepal, this contemporary Thangka combines traditional Buddhist imagery with meticulous craftsmanship, making it suitable for a study, meditation space, sacred interior, or private collection of Himalayan art.
