Shipping detailsThis colorful Padmasambhava Thangka features Guru Rinpoche seated on an elaborate pink lotus throne, surrounded by a vivid green halo, golden cloud motifs, and richly decorated floral patterns. The bright blue background, turquoise accents, and warm orange and pink details create a lively composition that distinguishes this piece from more restrained or monochromatic Padmasambhava paintings.
Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche or the Lotus-Born Master, holds an important place in Tibetan Buddhism and is closely associated with the introduction and establishment of Buddhism in Tibet. His image is widely represented in Himalayan Buddhist art, where traditional iconography conveys religious teachings, lineage, and devotional meaning.
This Thangka is hand-painted in Nepal using mineral pigments and gold powder. Fine decorative lines, layered colors, and intricate ornamental details bring depth and visual richness to the central figure. Two attendants stand near the lower section of the composition, while lotus flowers, mountain scenery, and flowing decorative forms complete the surrounding landscape.
With its vivid palette and elaborate composition, this colorful Padmasambhava Thangka is suitable for a meditation room, shrine space, sacred interior, or private collection of Himalayan Buddhist art.
